Hey, I'm Ryan.

My audio background started when I was 15 with a copy of Cool Edit Pro. No gear worth mentioning, just a computer and a lot of curiosity, but that was enough to get hooked on recording for good.

A few years later I landed at Edirol, a subsidiary of Roland, where I spent my days surrounded by music gear and my nights learning Cakewalk Sonar. Around 2007 I switched to Cubase and never looked back. It's still the heart of the studio today.

From roughly 2005 to 2011, I was recording local Bellingham bands out of whatever apartment I happened to be living in. Strait A Students, Our Fallen Heroes, Haf-Sac, Muppet Fetish, Dead Hookers, Notroiba, Umbilical Paracide, among others. Singer/songwriter sessions too: Thimble vs. Needle (Kat Bula), and some tracks for the WWU Acapella club around 2010. It was a good run.

The current setup is built around a vintage 90's Soundcraft Ghost mixing console. The latter half of the channels handles tracking while the first half handles summing, so everything that leaves the room picks up a little of that British console character on the way out.

The side projects never really stopped either. During COVID I ran a Twitch collaboration called Sonic Guys, working with musicians on video game chip tunes. A little ahead of its time. After that: Dig Shallow Graves, a Cramps-inspired covers project, then Bardscamp, a couple years of earnest, silly music with close friends.

So here we are. Audio production built the same way I've always worked: do good work, keep it affordable, and give people more than they expected.
